November Beer Blog: New Specials and New Items

November is here, and a new month means new beers and new beer specials!  As the holiday season ramps up, we’ll be in overdrive to keep you stocked up with the latest and greatest beers available in the market. The next couple of months are sure to be very full of seasonals, special releases, and the like.

November Beer Specials:

Crooked Stave hails from Denver, and is known for their tart farmhouse and wild ales. They recently began sending their first packaged clean beers that our market has seen. What do I mean by clean beer?  Their farmhouse and wild ales are just that….wild. Chock full of Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and the like.  Those bugs are where those tasty sour flavors are derived. Clean beer is beer fermented with non-wild strains of brewer’s yeast. We’ve received three different beers thus far, and two are in the special. Von Pilsner is a German style pilsner, which along with their standard IPA come in six pack cans, and are on sale for $7.99. Trellis Buster Double IPA is still around but will be replaced this week with a new seasonal, Coffee Baltic Porter.

From Prairie Artisan Ales we have Phantasmagoria. This double IPA comes in 4pk 12oz cans, and is on sale for $10.99. From Against The Grain we have Citra Ass Down (Citra Hopped Double IPA) and The Brown Note (google that label…) for $11.99/4pk 16oz Cans. Additionally, all varieties of Goose Island 6pks are $6.99 during November, and all Firestone Walker 6pks are $7.99.

New Brewery Alert!

Indiana’s Central State Brewing recently made its debut in the Missouri market. We’ve got singles and 4pk 16oz cans available at all 3 Mike’s. From IPAs to funky farmhouse ales to their awesome Ottermelon (watermelon Gose)... These have really started gaining some traction.   We’ve got FIVE new varieties in stock.  FFS: Raspberry is a sour ale with Raspberry and Lactose.  Hot Yoga is a double dry-hopped wheat IPA. Noyau is an Apricot and Peach fruited version of their previously released Table Beer. Snake Skin Boots is a hazy IPA with Simcoe hops. And Turn The Page is a double dry-hopped double cream IPA. That’s a lot of new beer to try! Come on down, 4pks and singles are available at all 3 Mike’s!

Any gluten-free lovers? Glutenberg has been crushing the game on gluten-free beers that actually taste like craft beer. We’ve got an IPA, APA, Blonde, Gose, and a White/Witbier. This past month we received their new gluten-free Stout! That’s good news for the dark beer lovers. Give it a try!

Stay tuned.  Lots of new beers are on the horizon. We’ve got you covered.
