June Craft Beer Specials
June is passing quickly, and I wanted to send out a reminder of our current monthly craft beer specials so you can take advantage of them before they end! Being another hot summer, several of them are canned packages. Perfect for outdoor enjoyment! Summer is also a great time for sessionable sour beers, and the craze is going strong. I’m seeing more people buying them than ever before. And we’ve got several selections in this month’s ad!
Starting things off, Crooked Stave Sour Rosé 6-pk cans recently entered the market. We’ve got ‘em on sale for $10.99 each. This is the cheapest you’ll find them around town, and already a crazy savings vs. the original bottle package ($7.99 per 375ml!)
I’ve written of my love for Evil Twin & Two Roads’ collaboration beer Geyser Gose before. This gose comes in a 4pk of 16oz cans and is flavored with several ingredients sourced on a trip the brewers took to Iceland. Among them: moss, kelp, birch-smoked sea salt and skyr (an Icelandic type of yogurt.) This beer is super refreshing on a hot day, and doesn’t taste one bit as weird as its ingredients-list might suggest. Try it yourself for $9.99 per 4-pk. This is the lowest price we’ve sold this for! (Usually $12.99) Also from Evil Twin we have Nomader Weisse. This classic berliner-styled session-sour beer comes in 12oz 4-pk cans, and is another “great on a hot day” killer.
Stillwater Artisanal’s Insetto is $9.99 per 12oz 4pk cans. Described by the brewery as “The beer-drinker’s rosé,” they purportedly came up with the can art first, and “reverse-engineered” a beer to match. The result is a delicious dry-hopped sour brewed with Italian plums. The plums add notes of stonefruit meet tannic fruit skin.
In hoppier territory, we’ve got 4pks of Against The Grain’s Citra Ass Down and Pile Of Face for $11.99. Both IPAs come in 16oz cans. Pile Of Face is a 65 IBUs and 6.5% ABV straightforward IPA. The name references the brewer’s ire with the prevalence of skulls in logos: “In a world where all the skulls are being used up, we are left with nothing more than piles of face.” Citra Ass Down is comes in a little higher at 8.2% ABV. It utilizes American Columbus hops for bittering, a heavy dose of Citra hops late in the boil for flavor and huge additions of Citra and Centennial hops post-fermentation for aroma. As the name suggests, citrus and tropical flavors abound.
Cider fans, we’ve got you covered, too! Argus Cidery out of Austin TX has been in the market for awhile, and now for a great price at Mike’s! We’ve got 6pk cans of Ciderkin and Ginger Perry for $9.99 each. These tart and dry ciders are great for summer, and not the sugar-bombs you might think of when you think of cider.
Prairie Prison Rodeo is a hoppy coffee ale, and we’ve got 4pk bottles for $6.99. We’ve also still got a few 500ml bottles of Americana for $2.99. When they’re gone, they’re gone! Kulmbacher’s EKU Pils is a great choice for the German beer drinkers. 6pk bottles are $7.99 currently. Uinta 6pk cans are all $6.99 (with the exception of Detour IIPA.) And to finish up with a classic, ALL Sierra Nevada 12pks are $13.99! This includes both can and bottle format.
Thanks for reading, and for shopping with Mike’s. And don’t worry, July’s specials will be just as tasty - stay tuned! Cheers!
