Something, Something, Snow...and Beer

Something, something, Snow…   We’re hoping spring is almost here, but you never really know.  I do know we have new beer coming tomorrow though! Several new varieties of American Solera will drop tomorrow.   We don’t receive a whole lot of their beers, and this batch includes some great stuff (Year 2 Blend on Blackberries or Strawberries anyone?!)  American Solera is the Tulsa OK-based brewery of Chase Healey.   If his name sounds familiar, it’s because you may remember him for his time at Prairie Artisan Ales.

You know that Shelton Brothers van isn’t just packed full of American Solera.  A few new canned selections from ToØl  are on this delivery as well.   Additionally, we’ll receive the newest release of Grimm’s Double Negative.  This big ‘ol stout won them accolades at GABF several years ago, and ostensibly put Grimm on the craft beer map.

Lastly (well, not really...but for this email) we’re receiving the 2018 vintage of one of my all-time favorite beers.  Mikkeller’s SpontanCherry Frederiksdal is a fantastic, delicate, decadent beauty of a beer.   This spontaneously fermented beer is aged on Frederiksdal cherries in oak.  I love this beer, and it was one of the first beers I ever made a point to stockpile upon delivery.   I have bottles going back from the past 5 years in my cellar, and intend on picking up several this round.

Check out the blog tomorrow for more in-depth profiles on what got delivered.
