Beer News: May 8

CITY BARREL IS HERE!   4-pack 12oz cans of 'Rad AF' and '816' are available at all 3 Mike's locations!  City Barrel is one of the newest breweries to open in KC, having just opened their crossroads doors a few months ago.   'Rad AF' is their double dry-hopped hazy IPA, and '816' is a double dry-hopped "blonde ale," though this beer teeters into IPA territory quite strongly.   I should point out, when this run is sold-out, it could be several weeks before we receive our next shipment, so get on it while you can! (pun intended)   And as the cans say: "Love Your City" and get down on some of the newest beer made in our fine city!

While you're at it, check out our recent arrivals.  A big favorite of mine has been Maplewood's 'Zip Zap.'  This wheat ale is hopped with Citra and El Dorado hops, and the name couldn't be more strangely accurate.  This beer's crisp and refreshing flavors are indeed ZIPPY and do have quite the ZAP!  Seriously though, I've bough like 3 4pks of this beer already.  We also received some new beers from Stillwater, Abomination, Hoof Hearted, Evil Twin, Fat Orange Cat, and Central State (including a collab with 2nd Shift!

The May Ad is full of great summer options.   Crooked Stave's 'Von Pilsner' and 'IPA' are staples in my fridge, and at $7.99/6pk, they're a steal!  Dogfish Head's 'Seaquench' is $9.99/6pk.  KC Bier Co. 6pk bottles are $7.99.   And Maplewood's 'Son Of Juice' is $11.99/4pk 16oz cans.  This hazy juice-bomb is one of my favorite IPAs at the moment.   Of course, there are plenty of other items on sale.   Check out the website for full listings, and come see us!

Cheers to lots of beers and sunshine!
