This Week in Beer: June 19, 2019

I’m excited to let you know about a new brewery hitting the market this week!  Pipeworks Brewing out of Chicago, IL hits stores starting tomorrow.  Pipeworks was established in 2012 by two friends, and has grown massively from their DIY beginnings. They were one of the first breweries to be funded by crowd-funding platform Kickstarter, raising well over their modest fundraising goal. The name Pipeworks was decided on a whim while the owners were working on a collaboration beer and interning at De Struise in Belgium. They still handle distribution themselves close to home, but have also expanded to several other states, including a deal with our friends at Craft Republic! We’ll be receiving 9 different beers for this first run. Most of the beer comes in 4 packs of 16oz cans, and we’ll be receiving a couple different 22oz bottle offerings as well. This first load is quite hop heavy, so IPA fans rejoice!

There is still a week and a half left of June, and that means a week and a half more of 20% off growler fills - all day, every day! We’ve got a heavy load of local offerings, from Double Shift, to KC Cider Co., to Crane! We have empty growlers for sale, and if you already own your own - bring it on down!
